No Line on the Horizon
Every year, I refuse to state resolutions. I don’t like to fail, and I sometimes have a hard time with follow-through on minor goals.
This year, however, I figured, “What the hell. Let’s see what we can do with 2012.”
So here are my goals:
- Make it back here for the next New Year!

- Take more photos of my cats. Because everyone loves pictures of my cats, right?
- Drink less soda. I’m already down to one or two a week, but I want to be better about ordering water when I’m out to eat.
- Read at least one book a month. I’ve gotten out of the habit of reading, I have to admit. Therefore, a small goal of one book a month should be sufficient in returning me to my fondness of reading.
- Travel more. 2011 was the first year in a while that I haven’t embarked on some epic journey, and I miss that. This will factor in with Resolution #1, and I’m getting off on the right foot when I fly to Los Angeles next month for The Gallifrey One Convention! I get three weeks paid vacation this year, so I’m hoping this will afford more adventures.
- Watch more baseball. I watched very few games last season, and that makes me sad. Even if I have to buy the Major League package so I can view the games online, I will. I also want to go to a Louisville Bats game this season. It saddens me that I’ve lived in Louisville for almost four years and I have never been.
- Improve my lifestyle. This mainly involves eating better, cooking at home more instead of ordering out (as I have pizza for lunch today), exercising regularly, even if it’s just my dance games.
- Mute every commercial that comes on while I watch television.
- And finally, I want to use my Tumblr much more. This is a neat space, and I need to take advantage of it!
Wish me luck!
