No Line on the Horizon
The first quarter of the year is bringing a bit of travel into the picture! Next week, I’m embarking on my first West Coast adventure. It’s time for Gallifrey One in Los Angeles and I’m very excited to be attending for the first time. The trip is pulling me out of my comfort zone, however, and forcing me to experience new things. My longest solo flight; my first time changing planes alone; first time venturing into a new place practically on my own. I’m not a very seasoned flyer, so the thought of such a trip is beginning to make me nervous.
What I’m most excited about right now, however, is just sitting on a plane for a couple hours, unable to work or be contacted by anyone from work. That will make the trip itself totally worth it.
After that, there are quite a few musical road trips in my itinerary. So, my spring schedule looks a little bit like this:
- Los Angeles for Gallifrey One, February 16-20.
- Columbus, Ohio, for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds on March 29.
- Indianapolis, Indiana, for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds on April 4.
- Indianapolis, Indiana, for Snow Patrol on April 22.
In the middle of all that is a rare stay-at-home show for me, when I will be seeing Death Cab for Cutie for the third time at The Louisville Palace.
Shows that I would really like to attend in cities other than Louisville this spring include:
- Young the Giant
- The Kooks
- Colin Hay
- The Black Keys
- The Naked and Famous
- Mumford and Sons
If you will excuse me, I need to go waste more money on tickets.
The title comes from the song “February Air” by Lights.
